John Bagwell, the owner, is a former disc jockey and advertising salesperson. With his knowledge of the industry and a specially trained staff, Radio Station Promotions .com is your one-stop for almost anything related to promoting your radio stations.
Bagwell Promotions worked with various radio stations for promo items as a regular part of our business. It seemed natural to expand the business and brand a separate website to work with radio stations with so many radio clients.
We aim to help the promotional manager, station manager, or other radio station employee find the “just right” promotion for their station.
We look forward to working with you and your station and welcome your comments about this website and our products.
John Bagwell, President of Radio Station Promotions .com, began his radio career at the University of Oklahoma in 1965 at KUVY, the campus radio station. While attending college, he also worked as a news stringer for KOMA in Oklahoma City.
In 1967 he served in the US Army with American Forces Radio in Vietnam as a disc jockey. While in Vietnam, he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star after the television station he was working at was taken by the enemy during the Tet Offensive. He also did a tour of duty in Italy on American Forces Radio.
After returning to the States, he was employed in radio in Odessa, Texas, at several radio stations, including KRIG, KQIP, and KOZA, as a DJ and in sales.
In the mid-1970, he moved to Oklahoma and continued to work off-and-on at various radio stations on the air and in sales.
